No. These units are specifically engineered for the VDJ200 Twin Turbo V8 (2007-2021) models. The mounting points and internal specs are completely different from the 70 Series single turbo. Please ensure you are ordering for a 200 Series or provide your VIN for confirmation.
2. What is the technical difference between CCT Stage 1 and Stage 2 for the 200 Series?
Stage 1 features our upgraded Performance Design compressor wheel (factory size) capable of handling 20 PSI (Factory is 16 PSI). Stage 2 utilizes a Larger Performance Design Billet wheel for maximum induction efficiency, safely handling up to 24 PSI. Both stages deliver massive mid-range torque for heavy towing.
3. Why don't the CCT 200 Series turbos come with new actuators?
We exclude them for two critical reasons: 1. Reliability: Currently, aftermarket electronic actuators for the 1VD-FTV have proven unstable. 2. Labor Protection: Actuator replacement often requires removing the turbo or an "Engine Out" procedure. To save you thousands in potential repeat labor, we recommend utilizing your reliable factory OEM actuators.
4. My current actuators are already dead. What should I do?
If your original actuators have failed, we recommend purchasing genuine replacement actuators directly from a Toyota dealership using your vehicle's REGO or VIN. Fitting genuine actuators to our high-performance CCT turbos is the most reliable way to ensure long-term, trouble-free operation.
5. I have a 2008 model. What is this I hear about a required water joint fitting?
For all vehicles produced between 2007 and 2011, if you are replacing the Passenger Side turbocharger, you MUST also purchase a replacement water joint fitting (OEM Part No: 16355-51011). This updated genuine part is 3mm longer to allow proper fitment of the water pipe and is available from your local Toyota dealer.
6. Do these CCT upgrades eliminate the typical 200 Series turbo lag?
Yes! Our aircraft-grade MFS Billet Compressor Wheels are significantly lighter than the heavy factory cast wheels. This reduced inertia allows the twin turbos to spool up much faster, providing immediate, responsive power off the line—essential for merging a heavy caravan into traffic.
7. Can I run Stage 1 or Stage 2 on my standard factory ECU settings?

8. Is the VSR balancing different for a twin-turbo setup?
It’s even more critical. On a V8 Twin Turbo, both units must perform identically. We high-speed VSR balance each unit in Melbourne to extreme tolerances. This ensures both turbos work in perfect harmony, preventing "turbo surging" and maximizing the life of the bearing systems.
9. What other components should I replace during this installation?
Due to the complexity of the 1VD-FTV engine bay, we strongly advise replacing both Turbo Oil Feed Lines and the engine oil/filter. For 2007-2011 models, remember the Passenger Side water joint (16355-51011) mentioned above. Clean lubrication is the only way to protect your 24-month warranty.
