Stage 1 is a responsive high-quality upgrade. Stage 1 Plus is our "Durability & Power" beast, featuring a Reinforced HD 360° Thrust Bearing and a 2mm larger Performance Design wheel. It is engineered to safely handle a massive 24 PSI for heavy-duty outback use.

3. What is a "Hybrid Turbine Wheel" and why does the Stage 1 Plus need it?
The Stage 1 Plus and Stage 2 both feature our upgraded hybrid turbine. This high-flow design significantly reduces Exhaust Gas Temperatures (EGTs) and backpressure, allowing your engine to breathe more efficiently while running higher boost levels.

4. Will the Stage 2 impeller be too big for my standard D22 setup?
No. While Stage 2 features our largest Performance Design impeller for maximum induction, it is engineered to work within the D22's mechanical limits. It provides the highest airflow potential in our range while remaining a reliable choice for tuned ZD30 engines.

5. Does this turbo require any modifications to my oil or coolant lines?
No. All three stages (Stage 1, Plus, and 2) are designed as 100% direct bolt-on replacements. The oil feed, return, and mounting points match the factory D22 ZD30 specifications exactly.

6. I do heavy towing with my D22. Which stage is best for me?
For heavy towing, we highly recommend the Stage 1 Plus. The combination of the larger Billet wheel and reinforced HD bearings allows you to maintain high boost (up to 24 PSI) all day long without thermal fatigue or reliability concerns.

7. Does the CCT D22 turbo come with a new actuator?
Yes, all units come complete with a brand new, pre-calibrated pneumatic actuator. It is set and tested in our Melbourne facility to ensure stable boost delivery straight out of the box.

8. Are these turbochargers balanced to high professional standards?
Yes. Every unit undergoes high-speed VSR (Vibration Sorting Rig) dynamic balancing in Melbourne to tolerances tighter than factory standards, protecting your engine's bottom end and ensuring a long service life.

9. Do I need an ECU remap or a boost controller?
While not strictly mandatory for Stage 1, we recommend a custom tune or a manual boost controller (like a Tillix valve) for Stage 1 Plus and Stage 2 models to fully optimize the 24 PSI power potential and prevent boost spikes.
